I can’t believe it’s finally time for me to start working in the real world. I’ve been “busting ass” all summer to find a full-time job doing either graphic design or photography and thankfully I finally found something that’s a great fit. Marketing Ideas For Printers, here in Fargo, is a small company with big ideas, and I’m so honored to become part of their team. I auditioned for the position of graphic designer for around 3 1/2 weeks so you can imagine my excitement when I found out I had the job (For the majority of you that know me, you know how excited I will be to have a job from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday).
This past summer I’ve also been working for Katie Lewis (Katie Lewis Photography) under her sister company Fate & Love Photography. There, I shoot weddings with my awesome co-worker Zach Davis (who also blogs regularly at The Open Window Exchange). When we aren’t off shooting our own weddings we are second shooting for Katie, which has been an exciting adventure so far and one I know I will continue to grow from.
Needless to say I haven’t had a lot of time for personal projects this summer, outside of my graduation party (which was awesome) and the trip to the Boundary Waters in mid August. Time flew by this summer, however I did have time last week for one shoot…I think you’ll enjoy it.
